Lego Star Wars Toys

Lego knows how to make toys, and their Star Wars series proves it once again. Anyone can come up with a few bucks to license Star Wars theme these days. But it's one thing to have a license to produce Star Wars toys, it's another thing to be able to design, manufacture and distribute high quality product. Lego experience spans decades and gives it a definite advantage over the competition. Star Wars series from Lego offers an entire gamut of toys - from simple inexpensive ones, to mid-range play sets of medium complexity, all the way to large, expensive play sets that will take an afternoon or two to assemble. Everyone can find something that fits their interests and pocketbook.

Lego toys, regardless of complexity or price, provide a well thought out, fun experience. For decades, Lego mastered the art of designing toys. The skill and experience are unmistakable. Star Wars toys from Lego are well manufactured as well. Lego toys are known for being sturdy, for surviving for years, even decades. It is not uncommon to have Lego play sets passed from generation to generation. Their Star Wars toys are no exception. Anybody can look at eBay auctions to see used Star Wars toys in great shape. Granted, some of them have collectible-like prices, but the point stands - Lego toys last for a long time.

Naturally, while playing with toys, kids also develop and practice many everyday skills. Playing with toys is a way for children to exercise their hands and minds. Flying an X- Wing fighter, driving a droid battle tank among anti-tank obstacles, building defenses or a Death Star requires a surprising amount of manual dexterity and planning. While having fun, children get to practice precise motions time and time again. Small and large muscles get exercised. Precision of movement and focus are rewarded immediately with a beautifully built structures. Failure to focus and pay attention results in an instant feedback - a building crashing to the ground.

Manual skills are only half the story, though. Star Wars action takes place in many different environments: desert, mountains, forests, air, outer space and different planets, as well as on star ships. Such variety of setting spurs child's imagination and creativity. Kids can think how they would act under those conditions, consider benefits and limitations of playing on a space station, as opposed to a primeval forest. If you add to it the varied equipment - flying machines, driving, walking and floating devices - kid's imagination has an almost infinitely varied canvas on which to paint the stories you child and friends can think up. Children will add other toys, from other eras to the mix - they are not yet constrained by the rules we grownups have come to accept as binding. The result will be a fantastic mix of buildings, equipment and creatures that will provide children with hours of creativity enhancing, imaginative pretend play. A Christmas gift or a birthday gift of Classic Lego Star Wars toys or Clone Wars toys will become of gift that promotes creativity, imagination, and sheer fun.
